![]() ![]() The voice acting is done without much charisma, and the plot is threadbare. The details in the environment look good, not jaw dropping but good enough to create a realistic atmosphere.Īs for negatives, the story is a total let down. The beginning of the game starts off good, and feels quite a bit more polished compared to the 2nd half of the game. Some new additions like the paraglider really add a lot of mobility and are enjoyable to use. Excursions into dark zones to look for supplies are fun. The skill tree upgrade system feels a bit dated but it works ok. The crafting system works well and the combat is as fun as it was in the first game. The game is much brighter compared to the original, with lots of bright greens, reds and blues throughout. We'll start with the positives: the use of color in this game is very nice. It's full of glitches and bugs, and while very few of these are game-breaking (more on that later) they all definitely break the immersion and remind you that your'e playing a video game. Unfortunately, I'd still have to say the game only feels about 95% complete. The release was delayed for 2 years while TechLand tried to complete it. When the game's release kept getting delayed, it was rather concerning. Several years ago when the sequel and (pre-rendered) teaser trailer was revealed, I was extremely excited. I'll start by saying that I absolutely loved the original Dying Light from 2015 as well as the DLC "The Following". ![]() See how they compare and stack up against each other frame rate you know resolution overall quality and you know load times and everything like that The PS5 obviously is light years ahead even the digital version doesn't matter but still it's an insane game on the PS4 if you have a PS4 pro and you have a good 4K TV and graphically speaking and technically speaking it's still an amazing game tons of content multiple endings the parkour and combat system got even better it's more simple and you can level up a lot easier just by you know playing and doing the things and using the skills you have which is very nice I like that way it's a very big open world there's tons of quests it doesn't ever really feel like you're doing fetch quests which is good plus the replay value and the fact that there is co-op all just adds you know positive you know reviews to this but all in all I'd say it's it's a direct sequel 15 years or four years after the first one or 15 or four something it feels just like the first game which is perfect because the first game was amazing in its own right and all the second one does is just build on top of that in a positive way so more more intense combat more combat more sneaky sections more zombies more everything just everything you like about the first one basically it's just more so I mean I can't really say any specific thing really I mean it's an excellent sequel it's definitely worth the full asking price and if not maybe $40 to $50 but still I think you know $65 attacks or whatever or just $60 digitally is good until you know horizon comes out on the 18th but it's definitely worth it I'd say if you like the first one you'll love this one guaranteed. I end up getting the PS4 version that you can upgrade to the PS5 which I plan to do but I wanted to test out ,you know, both versions first. Techland done gooooood!.If i'd be to guess i'd say 4x or 8x filtering is being used at all times. Turning it back on made textures in the distance sharper again suggesting an always on filtering. Tested with a custom resolution of 3840x2160.įorced AF in the driver settings which caused the game to look very blurry. ↑ Dying Light 2 Stay Human Collector's Edition - last accessed on.↑ New Dying Light 2: Stay Human Gameplay Shows Off More About The Dangers Of Consequences - last accessed on.↑ Dying Light 2 Delayed With No New Release Date - last accessed on.↑ Dying Light 2 announced and Chris Avellone is designing the story - last accessed on. ![]()
